About the Fire Dept.
The Fire Department handles structure fires, vehicle fires, rescues, and hazardous scenes in Rocky County. Crews work under incident command: size-up, assignments, and scene safety come first. This is a roleplay fire service, not a real department, and no real firefighter certification is required or claimed.
Most calls are shared with EMS and the Sheriff's Department — wrecks, extrications, and fires that grow out of a scene already underway. You need a microphone, a few hours a week, and the discipline to follow the incident commander. Staff approval is required before you ride.
What you'll do
- Fire suppressionStructure, vehicle, and brush fires, attacked with a crew and a plan.
- RescueVehicle extrication, search, and other rescues the scene actually supports.
- Scene safetyFuel spills, hazards, and keeping a work area the other departments can use.
- Joint operationsSupport EMS and the Sheriff's Department on major incidents.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Join the Rocky County RP Discord and keep direct messages open so staff can reach you.
- Have a working microphone.
- Be able to play a few hours a week. Fire roleplay is crew work, so show up when you say you will.
- Complete the written application on this site, in your own words.
- No real-life fire certification is required, and none is claimed.
- Be willing to complete fire training. Staff and department command must approve you.
How to apply
- Make sure you're in our Discord and have read the rules.
- Fill out the Fire Department application.
- Wait for a response from department leadership (usually via Discord).
- If accepted, complete training and start your career in Rocky County.
